We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead our human resources team. You will manage daily HR operations, guide talent acquisition, improve workplace culture, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
HR Manager Functions:
- Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, benefits enrollment, and employee records management.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, responding to HR-related inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and systems.
- Partner with employees and leaders to support positive employee relations, performance improvement, and fair, consistent application of progressive accountability.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and employee development initiatives.
- Complete monthly benefits billing and streamline billing processes.
- Complete employment verifications, FMLA requests, and unemployment requests.
- Provide training to employees related to timekeeping and benefits enrollment.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR processes and best practices.
- Endeavor to consistently improve employee and organizational performance through initiatives, programming, and collaboration with department heads.
Payroll Support & Backup:
- Serve as backup for payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution.
- Review payroll data for accuracy, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and timekeeping information.
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Support resolution of payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
- Maintain strong understanding of payroll compliance, including wage and hour laws.
Projects & Process Improvement:
- Lead and support HR and payroll-related projects, including system implementations, policy updates, and process redesign.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR and payroll processes, with a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
- Document standard operating procedures.
- Support change management efforts related to new systems, processes, or initiatives.
Education/Experience:
A bachelor's degree preferred with three to five years HR experience. HRIS and Payroll experience preferred.
