Vineyards Wellness Center & Spa is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and experienced Group Fitness Trainer to join our exceptional team of fitness professionals as an Independent Contractor. If you are passionate about helping others achieve their health and wellness goals while creating an engaging and motivating group fitness experience, we would love to meet you!
We are seeking an instructor who can lead a variety of group fitness classes, including Dance Fitness, Cardio Toning, Barre, and Total Conditioning, with classes ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. The ideal candidate enjoys working with members of all ages and fitness levels, can confidently modify exercises to meet individual needs, and is committed to providing a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for every participant.
At Vineyards, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional member experiences, and we're excited to welcome another talented fitness professional to our growing Wellness Center team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the fitness industry working with a diverse clientele.
- Experience leading group fitness classes in one or more of the following formats:
- Dance Fitness.
- Cardio Toning.
- Barre.
- Total Conditioning.
- Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Adult Fitness, or a related field preferred.
- Current nationally recognized fitness certification such as AFAA, ACE, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent.
- Ability to safely instruct and motivate participants of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
- Experience working with individuals who may have physical limitations or special considerations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with members.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive, energetic attitude and strong work ethic.
- Passion for health, wellness, and helping others succeed.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn, grow, and collaborate with fellow fitness professionals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes that motivate and inspire participants.
- Assess participants' fitness levels and provide appropriate exercise modifications when needed.
- Monitor class participants to ensure proper form, technique, and overall safety.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages member participation and retention.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional fitness environment.
- Build strong relationships with members while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Stay current on industry trends, certifications, and best practices in group fitness instruction.
