Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team at our upscale country club. The Dishwasher plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen while supporting our culinary and service teams.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, works well as part of a team, and understands the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in a high-end hospitality environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, kitchen, and designated service areas.
- Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and properly.
- Assist with putting away clean dishes, cookware, and supplies.
- Remove trash and recycling and maintain clean trash areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and other tasks as needed.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-oriented attitude at all times.
- Help ensure the kitchen meets the high cleanliness and presentation standards expected at an upscale country club.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy items, including boxes, cookware, dishes, and supplies.
- Must be comfortable working in a hot, wet, and physically demanding kitchen environment.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and frequently lift throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ability to work cooperatively with chefs, servers, bartenders, and other club staff.
- Must be available to work days, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Work Environment:
This is a fast-paced hospitality position in an upscale country club environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable working as part of a professional culinary team and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service.
Schedule: Flexible availability required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements: This position requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, and the ability to lift and carry items as needed.
